When you go to a welding school, what kinds of courses and classes can you expect to learn?
This depends on the program you’re enrolled in. For beginner courses, you’ll attend introductory classes on welding, which include the history and art of welding. You will also be immersed into the different types of welding processes such as stick welding and TIG welding.

For instance, if you want to become an underwater welder, you need to set aside more than $10,000 for tuition and fees alone. You’ll be mastering different skill sets such as swimming, diving, and welding, and you may need more time to master these skills.
After training, you may be required to enroll in an apprenticeship program. During this stage, you will have the chance to apply what you’ve learned in the classroom and hone your skills.
